I am confused. Post 3 says the TP was replaced and set to a base of .275V which is correct for EVO. Post 9 asks about removing the screws to clean the TP sensor. Was the TP sensor replaced as indicated?

Ed,
The TPS was replaced because it would not hold a setting. I was speaking of the two small screws on the top face of the module which sits behind the air cleaner bracket gasket I read on another forum that these two screws can be removed and inside cleaned by using map sensor cleaning spray. I read that these 2 holes have to do with air flow and that they get gummed up. Not sure if that information is accurate. What say you?

Don't touch those. Those are set at MM and are for Idle - they are not your midrange issue. I have seen more people screw things up messing with those than have done any good. If you want to clean those passages out it's not too hard to find them and you can spray them out. The holes are located at the top side of the throttle bore.

Thanks for the heads up on that. Do you think manually adjusting the Throttle Control Sensor to eliminate the problem is a way to go?

Going back to post 8. Never got answers there on running techron or checking for intake leaks?

Were all the fuel system parts replaced because they were eaten up by ethanol?

Replaced most fuel related parts because of age, the grey liner of the fuel tank was peeling and my buddy told me to replace all the fuel related parts. Bike was owned by his best friend who died of cancer so it has sentimental value to him. Tank was cleaned and re-lined. That's where we are at.

Would anyone know what the proper Fuel Injector OHM resistance reading should be for a 1996 Ultra Classic with the Magnetti Morelli EFI Module? Bike has the stock Black injectors. Thanks.....Bob

I can sure use them. A friend tested mine and told me one was bad. Please PM me with your info for contact. New to this Forum and haven't figured out the PM thing yet. Thank you very much.
