The TPS was replaced because it would not hold a setting. I was speaking of the two small screws on the top face of the module which sits behind the air cleaner bracket gasket I read on another forum that these two screws can be removed and inside cleaned by using map sensor cleaning spray. I read that these 2 holes have to do with air flow and that they get gummed up. Not sure if that information is accurate. What say you?

Don't touch those. Those are set at MM and are for Idle - they are not your midrange issue. I have seen more people screw things up messing with those than have done any good. If you want to clean those passages out it's not too hard to find them and you can spray them out. The holes are located at the top side of the throttle bore.

Replaced most fuel related parts because of age, the grey liner of the fuel tank was peeling and my buddy told me to replace all the fuel related parts. Bike was owned by his best friend who died of cancer so it has sentimental value to him. Tank was cleaned and re-lined. That's where we are at.
