2009 FLHX PC5 ,went for a ride today bike went into limp mode,made it home pulled plug on throttle body, cleaned with contact cleaner and put dialectic grease on it. Plug it back in got throttle back. Went to check for codes on the ECM came up code rSP, all other areas came up none, kill switch is on. Bike seems to run alright but can not get any info on ECM through DTS. Also no engine light came on, tried to reset the ECM multiple times same result. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Are you sure you know what you are doing? Not being rude but if the bike still starts and you say no engine light then something sounds fishy.

Download & read it's from the 2009 Electrical Diagnostics Manual but make sure you read all the pages and look at the pictures.

Yes I know how to retrieve codes have done it numerous times. That's why I'm on here asking for help I'm stumped. The bike runs good why no info from the ECM? ECM must be working other wise bike would not be running.

 

Did you read the document I uploaded?
Have you WOW tested speedometer? Please read that section and that test as it is important.
Also remove the PC5 if you do have issues for testing.

 

The WOW test will make all the lights in the speedo come on and certain that the engine light is in fact working.
Removing the PC5 will take that out of the equation as well.
