Reset Married VCI On SEPST
#21
mc9s12dp512, flash
I have reset with success most of the popular tuners out there, the harley tuners use a motorola (now freescale) MCU mc9s12dp512, atleast the models I own, you will need to find out how to get into the eeprom and erase the old info from there, this info applies for most of the tuners except for the PV, that one is trickier
Hi Lambda i have some question maybe you can help please contact me thanks
send you PN Lambda

First...I'm sorry if this has been asked. I searched and went through like 100 pages and didn't really find a definite answer.
Second...I know, okay. I KNOW. But I'm just asking...Is there ANY way to reset a SEPST that's already been married to another bike? Memory flash? Series of button pushes? Giant magnet? Yell at it repeatedly? Banging against the wall a few times? Anything?
I got a SEPST from someone and it seems like it's just a poorly designed paperweight.

Please forgive me but I have to chuckle a bit. We have someone who knows just enough about hacking the SEPST hardware and software to be dangerous in an attempt to save the money required to own a new, state of the art, tuner WITH the accompanying customer technical help for when you need it…and you will need it.
While understanding the basic street-tune process is a definite plus, the rest of the education and experience necessary to SUCCESSFULLY completely tuned a given bike, it ends up a lot of forum back and forth without ever getting that bike to run as expected…Until it is properly recalibrated by an experienced tuner…No comparison in end products.
Hope this is taken in the spirit in which it was intended,
Bob
