Hello I just installed this Mach 2 air cleaner on my Harley Sportster 48. I'm wondering if I should cut the breather hoses a little bit shorter


so that I could have them more straight as there is a little bend as you can see and I'm concerned that that might be cutting down the airflow

 

Remove them plug the AC holes and install a bypass.

 

They don't seem to be kinked so I'd say you're good.

Ya, reroute the oil mist to atmosphere instead of back into the engine.

 

Ya, reroute the oil mist to atmosphere instead of back into the engine. 2 hoses to a "T" fitting then either to a location below the bike or to a catch can.
