Hi hope y'all can help . I have a 2009 Harley Davidson fxdc my problem is the fuel pump quit working then I pulled the tank apart got into the fuel pump I'm getting power down to the plate in between the tank and the fuel pumpsometimes I get power to the fuel pump then there's other times there is no power to the fuel pump I can jiggle the wires from the plate to the fuel pump and the fuel pump will work sometimes it won't what could be the problem I'm thinking wiring harness

 

when there’s no rpm’s present , the power stops going to the pump . It primes up from the key on position and then holds pressure until the engine starts , then rpm’s are present and there’s power .. hope this helps

 

Key on the pump runs for a few seconds then shuts down. It will run again as soon as the motor starts cranking..
