Default High Beam Indicater

Does anyone know how I can "dim" the high beam indicater light on an 05 wide glide? Mine is so bright it's almost blinding me! AllI see is blue!

The only way I can think to dim any light is to lower the voltage that is passed to the light. You would need to use a resistor for that. The PITA factor is high with this route as it will involve disassembly of the dash and probably some soldering.

A quick and cheap way to "dim" the light would be to put a piece of window tint or a self stick dot of some type over the indicator. You could probably find some self adhesive dots at Wally World or an office supply place.

Why don't you just leave on it on dim or remove the bulb completely? I've never had a problem with it...look at all the cars/trucks. They have lights all over the place in the dash and they ALL are blinding you.

I know what you mean. Mine is bright too. 03 nighttrain. Mine fixed itself though. Now my hi-beam doesn't work at all. Looks to be a broken wire right where it enters the headlight housing. I'm wondering if I can change out the wiring without pulling the tank. Anyone know for sure?
