High Beam Indicater

RE: High Beam Indicater
The only way I can think to dim any light is to lower the voltage that is passed to the light. You would need to use a resistor for that. The PITA factor is high with this route as it will involve disassembly of the dash and probably some soldering.
A quick and cheap way to "dim" the light would be to put a piece of window tint or a self stick dot of some type over the indicator. You could probably find some self adhesive dots at Wally World or an office supply place.

RE: High Beam Indicater
I know what you mean. Mine is bright too. 03 nighttrain. Mine fixed itself though. Now my hi-beam doesn't work at all. Looks to be a broken wire right where it enters the headlight housing. I'm wondering if I can change out the wiring without pulling the tank. Anyone know for sure?
