Throttle Position Sensor output low

Throttle Position Sensor output low
Hey all,
The TPS on my 2000 Ultra seems to be outputting lower than normal voltage.
When I first tapped into the wires for it to feed throttle position data to my Innovate modular tuning system, the TPS output was 0.65V with throttle closed and 4.69V at WOT and the Innovate system was properly registering throttle position.
Now, my closed voltage is 20.5mV and WOT is 140mV. Now, of course, throttle position is not registering.
I'm wondering if connecting the TPS to my MTS somehow fried the TPS, or if this is a known error condition that one of you much-smarter-than-me folk have come across.
Thoughts?

This problem resolved while testing.
- pulled and tested all fuses
- disconnected / reconnected IAC and TPS
- observed that the Check Engine light was consistently failing to illuminate when the key was turned on
- began diagnostic process for this
- didn't get far before decided to check again, and the Check Engine light came on as designed
- re-tested TPS output voltage and it was as designed
