RE: Hands free 'Smart' key fob alarm - help plz!
Well here it is, what needs to be done:
Scratched my head a bit, swore a lot, begged for help, called a couple of local HD dealers who put me on hold for over 10 minutes each before I gave up and hung up...even the reputable HD online store I bought it from seemed reluctant to provide much help!
The bottom line is: the hands free fob has to be programmed by the dealer's computer (Digital Technician). End of story. It was just as Natewat described.
I went to the dealer in Lafayette (no appointment, just walked in). The service staff were incredibly helpful and took me in without prior notice, thanks Erica. And she had me back on the road in 30 minutes, for less than $20. Real happy with Cajun Harley (can I mention their name?).
Thanks for the fax Drexor, much appreciated (these instructions came with the pager, nice effort though, thank you).
Thanks again everyone for helping me out.

livebeforeidie,
I've got an HFSM (hands free security module)to install in our 2007 Deluxe. It sounds like I've got to bring it to the dealer to get the FOB mated to the HFSM, no problem there. But if I remove the TSM and install the HFSM, will the bike start? I've heard that the HFSM needs to be mated to the ECM, and until this is done the bike won't start. Any idea?
Thanks,
-BruceR
