Well I have a 2005 Redneck Mutant with a buell Lightning engine.
The bike is great runs strong but it is having a weired problem.

When turning the key on, and putting the switch into run the starter starts spinning then you press start switch and the thing fires rught up, but when you turn the key off put the switch to stop the starter is still spinning , need to disconect the battery in order to make it stop.

We checked the ignition and thats seems to be fine nothing is crossing, the wires seem to be ok.

What could be causing this problem?
Need help.

sounds like it lives up to its name, a redneck wired it, just because the wiring doesn't look damaged, doesn't mean that it was done correctly. have it rewired by a PROFESSIONAL (NOT a bike builder!!!)

 

if you want to fix it really quickly and sloppily, look at the connections in the right h/b switches, sound like the run/kill and the starter buttons are mixed up.

 

The bike ran fine, It's not a redneck bike, it was build by a pro shop high end parts all the way it's a 20k bike, the frame is build by redneck engeneering.

THis is something but the switch we checked that already.
