Open the SmartlinkIV program and in the monitor set up window, you should be able to find the Engine Head Temperature button. Click on it, it will open the monitor display set up window for engine head temp. Use it to configure the lower and upper operational range you wish to monitor. You will also need to check the, Activate gauge display, check box. Now you can close the set up window for engine head temp.
Next go to the tool bar at the top and click on the “Monitoring” button, on the drop down menu click on, show gauges. Any gauges that you have selected will be displayed. You can use the same button to toggle the gauges on and off. You may also want to go ahead and set up the gauges for engine speed (rpm), STD throttle position, and battery voltage. Since those along with head temp are recommended as the minimum of functions to monitor. You might want to include the AFR gauges. There are at least 25 different parameters that can be monitored.
Good luck with it.

I know how to monitor when I'm linked up, but I was hoping there is a way to see what my highest temp might have been on my last ride. I was wondering if it's possible to see what has already happened, not what's happening right now at idle.

Got some questions about the thundermax.
1. How are you connecting to the computers? Are you using a laptop.
2. Was it hard to install? Did you do it yourself?
3. Have you had any issues sine you installed it?
Went to the dealer today and you can guess what the service writers stated about the Thundermax. I like working on my own bike and installing exhaust is easy, but this is my first time dealing with fuel injection.
