HandleBar wire extensions.

RE: HandleBar wire extensions.
Novello has a set that is supposedly the same colors as stock. They're close enough to get the job done anyway. I got mine from J&P.
Tip: No matter how careful you thought you were, you prawly missed something. When I got my bike all put back together, the lights didn't work and it wouldn't start. When I pulled the tank back off, the problem slapped me in the face - I wired the connectors upside down. Took 5 minutes to fix. Would have saved the trouble if I'd double checked my work.

I needed to add 12 inches to my wires, on a 89Softail, just laid the wires on the bench, cut them and added 12 inches. Make sure that you solder the wires and not just tape them. I also staggered the connections so that you don't end up with a big lump in the middle, which allowed me to run the wires through the bars.

Perfect timing on the post. I just put a 12" wiring X in an 07' Fatboy...what a project. I'm a newbie wrench. Finally..Novello comes through (www.novelloindustries.com) with a harness. I just shrank wrapped the extensions and allwas well.Whateverbike you have just make sure youtape and label all the wires before you take it apart!! You won't have a problem if you tape and mark everything first! Don'tbe scared! Buy a service manuel and GO TO TOWN BROTHER!!!!! Good luck."If you don't break it while taking it apart, it'll all go back together eventually"!
