Fuel Moto Micro EFI Tuner Install Notes - 2012 Softail
I have a 2012 Softail Deluxe and recently swapped out the stock exhaust for a pair of Rush Slip-ons with the 1.75" baffle. The stock air filter remained. Post exhaust swap, I ended up having a lot of decel popping. A little research brought me to purchasing the Fuel Moto Micro EFI Tuner.
The final result is that the bike starts and runs perfectly fine (to my ears anyway). Every bit of the decel popping is gone. I made no adjustments to the Micro EFI Tuner. Overall, very happy with the results.
On a scale of 1 -10 (10 = most difficult), I had predicted an install rating = 2, but I'll now rate the install = 3 or 4. I do not rate myself a mechanic by any means, however, I am mechanically competent to ultimately complete all but the difficult/technical of jobs. There were a few points where I needed to take some time and contemplate how to best complete the next step of the process.
The included instructions were enough to point me in the right direction, but I needed some Internet surfing to get more information. One forum post here was very helpful (thanks Garemlin).
