Ive got the smart siren2 pager and reciever. Thi s is my second reciever and the battery will only stay charged 24 hours when left on. Anybody else having this problem.
I'm assuming your talking about the Pager II battery that you carry. I just put the second battery in mine about 2 weeks ago and I've had the unit for about 15 months. I do turn the pager off when I return home andremove it from my belt.
I've had mine for a little over a year. I've changed the battery once. However, I only use it on weekends as the building I work in has a broadcast tower thatintereferes withthat kind of electronics.
I figured out the problem, with it swinging on my key chain, the vibration would cause the battery to disconect momentarily, causing the display to go blank. Now I just keep it in my pocket or belt and it will run for weeks.

I had to get a different brand of battery the last time after I bought one because it was slightly thinner then my previous battery and the pager wouldn't stay powered on.I brought it back to Batteries Plus and got one from their bulk battery drawer and it worked perfectly. Just because it's the same CR 2450 battery doesn't mean it's the same thickness. I found out that even though the store brand package was the same, the brand of battery in it was different. You would think they should be a standard thickness but they weren't. Some of the cheapies must not have good quality control.
