I would try the Mode 23 fix and see if that helps, but I would not try the Stage 1 settings. It would probably be a little leaner, probably too lean. And there is no telling what effect it would have on hp and torque.

I would have to agree with you there.

I changed the Fuel Pak mode 23 setting to 50. My bike ran terrible, no power or torque, constant hesitation and the popping was worse. Changed mode 23 to 15 and what a difference, totally night from day, no poppingbut a slight one which was very seldom, I can live with that. Got myhp and torque back with a noticeable increase, smooth and quick throttle response. I'm Happy

Thanks for your input once again HDSapper.

unless you have it dyno'dby V&H, there is nothing much a dyno tech can do with the fuel pack.

Thanks for all the Info Guys,Made the mistake of Letting HD dealer put a power commander EX on my bike (all they could do CA you know) Could not eliminate engine detonation on rapid throttle application, took it to DJ recommended tuner, no help. Just finished installing my own fuelpak now I need an excuse to leave work early for a test ride. Now for the ethics question, Do I put the PCIIIEX on Ebay or use it for target practice
