Default Electrical Short? FLSTN

With ignition in off position there is a noticable ticking sound with a corresponding jump in the speedometer. Also the fuel gauge is pinned to Full (only half full). These anomolies go away when the ignition is moved to the Acc or Ignition position. All lights appear to be operational. I pulled the battery fuse and that also stopped the issue. Sounds like a short somewhere, right? Any other thoughts?
Thanks,
Brian

Pulling the main or battery fuse will cut the electrical current from the battery to the entire electrical system. Sounds like you may have a loose connection on the ignition switch itself.

How old is the bike?
