Do yourself a favor and forget the kit. It really doesn't give you any more than just a rejet for your modifications. Drilling the slide is not a good thing either.

I don't know about that peppi, the dyno said it was worth 6hp and throttle response is crisp (I would have done it just for that) on my TC88B.......

I would really like to see 6 HP with just the kit installed and no other mods. Just the rejetting for your mods without the drilling of the slide will work just as good as the kit from my experiences and at a fraction of the cost too.

Ahh... you stipulate a condition.

Well no, the gains were not JUST from the kit alone. The TC had slip ons and a SE aircleaner already installed, fuel/air was a little lean.

So you notice no difference in throttle response at all when you don't drill the slide? What about a thunderslide?

*Interest piqued......

I don't like to drill the slide because under low rpm's and colder temps, it rises too fast and causes a cough or bog.

Just use the proper jetting for your mods and you will see about he same difference on the street. If you are at the drags where tenths may make a difference, then the $70 may help you out but there have been many that use the kit that eventually remove it because of drivability problems and it usually ends up killing the MPG without the corresponding increase in power to justify the loss.

To answer your question... you will notice a crisper throttle response but it's a trade off with other issues that arise when drilling the slide.

If you were talking 6 hp gain from all mods (total), then it is rather weak when it should net more than that.

Yeah, I have noticed the cold weather cough you speak of and was going to have a crack at at enrichrening the bottom end to help alleviate the problem.. have you tired that?

The 6 horse was just for the jet kit. All up I got just under 15 for the slip ons, SE aircleaner (since changed to a K&N + ploished the intake tract for another coupla ponies) and jet kit (thunderslide).
