16' Dyna 103 HO with pro pipe and FP3. I'm assuming it's with the EFI. As the title says, it'll idle fine, then I'll give it some gas and it makes a tick noise and dies, or comes very close to dying before I let off. One time it did it just after a start up without me touching the gas, but the engine was warm from a ride already and had been off all of 60 seconds. It's rare that it does this, but I'm just curious as to what it's problem is. Any ideas on what this is? Something to worry about? Thanks.

 

YA fuel pack problem, remove then try it, If it works then its the FP3. You can take it to the dealer he can run the codes and finger it out too.

 

Describe this "clicking" noise in more detail.

 

Flash the bike back to the stock Map. The dealer won't touch it with the modified Map installed. At a minimum, it won't be covered under warranty.

 

As soon as you touch the throttle, the noise comes from the engine area. I can't think of anything to compare the sound to, it's a single cracking sound followed by a dead engine. It's not loud, but distinctive.
