Radio Troubles 2004 EG
I have a 2004 EG and my radio cuts out and then comes back on after 10 or 15 min's. I have checked all external electrical connections and fuses and they seem to be connected correctly.
Here are the symptoms: 1st event while traveling the system shut down and return to operating once the key was cycle to off and then back on.
2nd event was a month or so later while listening to the CD the system shut down and came back on by itself 15 mins later. 3rd event system automatically changed to WB and was unable to power off via power switch all handle bar controls not working (other band, turn down volume, etc) upon turning ignition to off the system continued to operate for 30 sec. System came back on 45 mins later while traveling down freeway. This occurred after I went to dealer to schedule service call. System is now full functional I am waiting for the next event, does any one have a clue

RE: Radio Troubles 2004 EG
Just to let you know there are other option's, I got tired of dealing with the problem's with Harley's stock head units and decided to go with a after-market unit (Sony). If you get tired of dealing with those gremlin's, check out Biketronics.com. I did and never regreted the decision. Funtions and sounds far superior then stock, even on my 07 Street Glide (HK unit's airn't that much better then the older model's in my opinion) Rich
