I see their crate 124's do better than 130 several times. A 1.04:1 hp to cube inch is sad, and something I would be calling an under achiever.

If you have the injector. You could take a measurement and compare them to the white or brown bands that you have stock. I believe they will be the same size. If so, you can buy just injectors and use the throttle body you have already bought.

Default A bit of EFI help

I am doing a 2000 RK frame & title with very little left OEM after that. I purchased a S&S crate motor and I want to go a bit higher tech than my carbs on my other bikes. I asked HPI and quoted me a 55mm Delphi TB with Hi-Flow yellow band 6.GPS injectors. I can not leave much stock so with some room to improve will this work for this application?

Is there any difference between Delphi & HPI and others? By the time it is all over I am looking at $1K +. Any suggestions?

The Delphi is just the electronics portion that controls the throttle body. Are you doing a 124 crate motor? The HPI throttle bodies are a real nice piece and I went with the S&S kit just because of cost. Otherwise the HPI TB and 6.2 injectors is something i would also purchase. In the future when I do more to my 124 I will upgrade to the 6.2 inj. and do a 62mm HPI.

Default Buy once

Thank you for your valued opinion!

Your S&S 58mm TB kit sells roughly at 1/2 the cost as the HPI with which looks like the same pieces to make them work. I would value your opinion on the end results between the two. I have a crate motor twin cam 124ci (2006 type) for now to get it up on two wheels. I hate having buyers remorse on could have & should have. Thanks for your help in advance & I appreciate your efforts.

Default Parts list

I am using a 2006 OEM computer and need to get the side electrical panel to mount it on as the frame had a MM. Just what you see above is all I am using HD except the title. I already have the fuel pump in a box. My approach to bike building is make them as light as possible. Of course the air shocks and wagon wheels are gone & replaced with my C/F wheels & radial tires for weight savings. I will remove my inverted forks as the idea of this bike is to feature my 49mm forks & trees w/30mm Ohlins cartridges. I am using a Road King Nacelle because it is the hardest to do for this product. You will see 3 different members installing them in RK. I designed this kit to also have a choice of inverted forks or 49mm right side up (OEM) forks.

This is what I was told I needed to make this project work.

1 HPI-55D1-18 55MM DELPHI TB (2001-2005)
2 HPI-DINJ-1 DELPHI HIGH FLOW INJECTORS (YELLOW BAND) 6.2GPS
1 TPS SENSOR
1 IAC SENSOR
1 MAP SENSOR
1 HPI-FUEL RAILS
1 HARDWARE KIT
1 FUEL SUPPLY TUBE
1 FUEL LINE
1 HPI-IF-5L INTAKE FLANGES 1995-2005 TB TO 2006-LATER HEADS

I'm running a 58 mm HPI with 4.9 injectors with no issues. If I didn't already have the 4.9's I would have gone bigger.

Some of us are very happy with our 'under achievers', they are just what we were after! If we want to spice them up, there are several sponsors in here who we can call, to improve on that 1.04:1.
