Default Idle down issue

04 FXDWG Has anyone had problem with idle down between shifts on EFI models. The throttle snaps back when let go but when going thru gears on the road the idle/rpms seem to not drop, Iv'e taken it to out local Harley shop they replaced the intake gaskets and said it fixed. Not!!

There are a few things that can cause this. A problem with the TPS switch(throttle position switch) on the throttle body or the IAC (intake air control) has to be set up by the dealer. Either could cause your problem. Have you done anything to the bike recently?

No I haven't, when I bought it the dealership put a stage1 kit on it and thats it as far as the motor is concerned, I rode it to Sturgis "2000" miles and a week or so after that I noticed this condition. What troubles me is the dealership here said they fixed it but it acts like it did when I took it in, the shop manager even rode it and made the comment that they have had a few problem like this but this seemed worse, that was before they worked on it and "fixed" it.

They should be obligated to check it out and fix it properly as long as they acknowledge the problem. Try them again and if it still is a no go , call the MOCO customer relations.
