Picked up my 2015 fxdl a few weeks ago, went to get on it today, hit the run switch fuel pump came on, made a loud noise like it was in a bind, switched to off then back to run did the same thing. Started it, it started and ran fine down the road went around the neighborhood to test it. Got back killed it, switched to run, off, run, off run etc... Pump primed everytime and got progressively louder from normal whine to growl, till i rode it again, then It started over. Is the pump supposed to prime everytime the switch is put to run? I thought it would only prime once till it was started? Its under warranty just making sure its not user error before i take it in. Thanks

 

It will prime every time the switch is turned on. You should only hear a slight quiet hum for about 2 or 3 seconds. A whine or growl in abnormal. Take it in.
