Default neutral switch melting

I noticed on my 01 sporty that the neutral switch wires were melting. It had to happen on a ride to work this week becuase on Sunday I detailed it and the wires were fine. Before it went back to the shop for more engine work (under warrenty)it was blowing the fuse.I started checking it with my ciruit breaker & it didn't trip it so I put the fuse back in it & has not blow the fuse (15 amp) but after 2 weeks of riding 700 + miles I noticed the wires look melted now.Any suggestion. It is still under warrenty but hate to have to leave it with the dealer for ever.

That circuit is only a ground for the neutral light and doesnt carry any load enough to melt it.. Could it be exhaust heat melting it?

Not too familiar with sporties, but it may be a cam sensor, I would be more concerned as to WHY it melted than what it is at this point. Once you figured that out, replace it and re route the wires in a different way to avoid a reoccurrence.
