Yesterday I got my Big Shots installed and with a 15 mile ride seemed to run great. Today I got the new tune installed from Superchips and it still runs great. The engine seems to run a lot smoother at idle. The only quirk I have so far is when coming to a stop, the idle is a little fast for about 5 seconds before going into low idle. Went for a 5 mile ride in 32 degree temps was all I could stand with a open front WG. Brrrrrrr. It will be months before I can go on a long ride to really give the pipes and tuner a good test.

 

I got a chance yesterday to get in a 40 mile freeway ride up over a mountain here and the new tuner sure made my bike motor run smooth and very responsive. I can tell by the smell of my exhaust the motor is definitely a lot richer now. Maybe to rich, I'm getting some soot on the tail pipes where I didn't have any before.

 

what settings are you running in the ez, I would like a little extra fuel, thinking of going back to the fuelpak and xieds if they don't get some more settings by next year, bike ran real good on that system.

 

Since there wasn't a Big shots option for pipes I settled on 2 into 1 for my pipes and stock A/C settings. When the weather warms up some I'll try the "other" on the pipes and see what it does.

I'd just start with the first one, then take a test ride. Try them all or just stop when you find a tune that works good for you. My 3rd tune has worked great for me. I didn't have 5 choices like you.

Don't be too quick to condemn tune you download. It takes miles and several key cycles to allow the ECM to calibrate. The idle will come down also.
