I seldom meet a Harley rider that would agree with that, but I do. I think the sportsters have poor slow speed handling compared to most bikes, but on higher speed twisties are pretty good - pushed to the limit, I'd guess they'd beat the big iron Harley's. I'd like to have one of Harley's big irons, but most of my riding is local, seldom over an hour, and I like my sporty for that. Just takes different attitudes, do you like tooling around in a Town Car or an old Mustang with 4 on the floor? Since retirement, I'm getting in better shape, and thinking of longer rides, and seriously thinking of moving at least into Dyna class, no doubt about it, for comfort the big iron excels. I rode an old 80's FXRT a while back, and hated to get off.
