That is some wild ride. Like the previous poster said that death wobble thing make the hair on my neck stand up.

 

been a huge fan since watching it as a kid on abc's wide world of sports, now I get the dvd each year from. amazon. it's beyond crazy love the slow motion shots.

Why the full face helmets ? But seriously, it says over 200 deaths, did we see one ?

 

full face helmets are required to run those speeds (200mph wouldnt want to catch a bug at that speed) and last year someone died (2011 race). Hope that helps!!!

That get-off was Connor Cummins at Veranda - it nearly killed him, but he's back racing now - only a kid, too. Same year Paul Dobbs was killed, and Guy Martin crashed big style - bike a fireball, but he's back racing too.
New DVD out -TT Closer to the Edge - full on, and well worth the watch - covers that year and asks them why they do it.
These are the roads I ride/drive every day - my club's Sunday runs start from the TT grandstand. Look us up if you ever get here to see TT live!

 

I agree - these guys are insane for the lack of a better word. I also never miss it when it hits the boob tube. But at the same time I think what a great ride it would be just to cruise those roads one day.
