Default Trip around Lake Superior

Here's a short video of a trip I just got back from around Lake Superior. Just got the Go Pro camera and brought it along for some video and took a few pictures as well (which are in the video). All in all, it was a great trip despite the weather. Plenty of bikes out but most seemed to be going clockwise around the lake - I think clockwise is the way to go. btw - first ever video and it's a PIA to put all the clips together to make a watchable video. Figured a nice trip was in order since it was 1 year to the day I left when I picked my Road King up and so far really couldn't be more pleased (except more hp)
See ya

Nice job Thrill! Good selection of music too as it didn't detract from the video. I turn off a lot of video clips after just a few seconds because of the horrible music playing. Only thing I would have added here is some sounds of the bike. Enjoyed watching it though.

They have mandatory escort north bound but not southbound? Whats the reason for the escort? Just curious

Nice job!! Neat idea turning the camera sideways some of the time. What were all those people doing on that last bridge you crossed??

Really enjoyed the ride. Good job editing it down, adding stills and titling.

The escort is only needed on days when the winds are a concern. Also I noticed the bridge walkers. They only allow that on Labor day.

What an adventure ... are the tree turning in the UP? I didn't notice while watching.

The weather in MI has some quirks that's for sure. We have always wound up with lake winds chilling the summer air but as the daytime temps start dropping to the low 60's it gets frigid in the morning and early evenings.

That was quite the ride!

Thumbs up Two thumbs up

Thanks for posting this. One of the best videos yet

As others have already commented, good mix of shots, non-offensive music and editing. Others could learn from this... looked like a great ride as well.

cheers,

mike

Hey guys,
Thanks for all the positive feedback. The trip was a really good time for sure. For the Mighty Mac Bridge - I'm guessing if the wind is coming from the west they escort to the north and visa versa. From the west you could get blown over like a couple of others have in recent memory - some lady in a Yugo and an SUV I think? It's always cool to ride the grate and look straight down to the water. For the music I figured best to use bands from local MI. There were faint tree color changes ~5% maybe.

This signals the death of summer.

I rode until November 29th in my area last year.
