Default Splitting Lanes:Video

My first official post, so I thought I'd hit the floor running...

A quick video made for me by a pal in LA showing how it is to split lanes.

Not quite sure how to embed the video

Thumbs down

Well I don't know about where you live but that will be a nice ticket by any police officer here. To me, that just gives the WRONG image about people who ride and tells people in cars that it's ok to ignore motorcycles because they ignore the law.

Other than that....welcome to the forum!

Great video! ...would love to see pics of the bike, looks sick!

IMO, splitting lanes on the freeway takes brass *****....lots of drivers just don't see you and/or give a **** to look before changing lanes (or drifting to the sides of their own lane).

He said "LA" ...as in Los Angeles I'm guessing. Used to live there until recently...splitting lanes in California is legal

Welcome!

I wonder if there's more awareness of motorcycles in general since it's legal to lane split there? I wouldn't mind being able to do that on the freeway when it's 90 degrees out and traffic is stopped.

In some states Lane splitting is legal. If you watch the video closely he even passes a cop (@ 1:46).

Why in the hell would you want to do that. Seems just a tad ignorant to me. I wouldn't split like that if it was legal. I can't believe that's ok in cal. California really is a f?cked up state. I know I'll catch **** for that. But c'mon really. Your gonna die.
