Harley-Davidson's oldest active motorcycle dealer.
I came across this in the video section and thought it was very interesting. Thought some of you might enjoy it as well.

Grover Sassaman - decorated WWII veteran and Harley-Davidson's oldest active motorcycle dealer.
Spend 30 minutes with Grover and experience his early life with motorcycles and his contribution to this nation's defense during World War II. It concludes with pictures and memories of his unique tenure with the Harley-Davidson Motor Company.

This is about as close to HD history as I'm likely to get:
Dick O’Brien, or “O.B.” as his friends called him, was Director of Racing for
Harley-Davidson from 1957 to 1983. Dick was best known for his involvement with the
dominating XR-750 and the Factory Streamliner, which won the land speed record in 1970 at 265.49 MPH. After retiring from Harley-Davidson, Dick spent the next 11 years porting cylinder heads and developing winning engines for Nascar programs, such as the Travis
Carter/Skoal Bandit team.
Ken Henderson is Dick's protege...

I agree, that was a interesting story. Goes back to treating people right and doing the right thing all the time. Karma works both ways. You can sure tell when someone is genuine and this guy sure the he!! is!

I live in the Atlanta are and several years ago I bought a Road King from Grover's dealership in Macon Ga. Over the years I've met several people from all over the country that were a little long in the tooth (no disrespect intended), when they found out that I lived in Georgia they would ask me if I knew Grover and I was fortunate enough to tell them that I had met him. Grover seems to be well known and respected by the Harley community.
