Default Nikon Camera on HD Handlebar

I have been doing a lot of experiments, and learning of how to mount a camera on my bike's handlebar, so there is no vibration, and this is the best video that I can get, so far.

What do you think?

You are such an observer!
Yes, it is a boring clip, but that's not the purpose of this one. I am testing on the mounting to minimize the vibration, and I am very happy with this set up. It makes me skeptical about spending a more money for GoPro, or Contour. Even tho, I've just ordered a Contour GPS HD, which I like the GPS feature.

You are so right about the SUV!
Thanks for the comment.
Nick

I am very happy, because I will have a couple of cams set up on the bike to record my Route 66 trip in July.
Wish me luck!

Pretty smooth for handlebar mount. What model Nikon? The go-pro would probably be clearer, but it does have a "fish-eye" effect:
roadking? noticed the notorious "touring clunk"!
you rolled the right on red stop pretty good turning onto 1 :-)
was it me or was there something funky with the audio(2 different Santana tracts)
was that direct from the camera,or a edited converson.
Should work fine for your trip....Iam jealous !

It is a Nikon S3000, and of course, it only produces 480p video, but that's good enough for me. I like the wide angle of the camera, tho.
Actually, I do have a right turn green arrow. , and yes, you are right, I just turned on the CD, which was playing Santana songs at the time.
One more thing, I have a ultra limited, which is my first HD, and I love it very MUCH!
Route 66? You are welcome to join me. Breakfast in Chicago is on me!

I'm impressed. I didn't think you could get that long and quality of a video out of a Nikon S3000. Let us see your mount.

Nice sounding exhaust also. What is it?

I do like Santana music!
