Love the Sound of those Pipes

 

A tech installed your pipes, correct? I just installed a pair of these pipes on my '07 Ultra (your fault). The left side muffler would not tighten all the way with the V&H clamp. I used the clamp that was being used on the stock muffler which help it to stop sliding around but I have a heck of an exhaust leak where the muffler joins the stock pipe. The right side clamped ok but it is also leaking.

Have you checked for leaks? Are you aware of any mating issues with these mufflers to the stock pipes?

 

H-D engineers noted in an interview they could completely eliminate the solid clunk from shifting gears, but that the Harley rider preferred the solid sound

As for the exhaust note... kudos for taking the time to record and post. And FWIW, it is low and deep exhaust notes stirring the soul, not loud and barky. Good recording.

 

Tech installed with new HD clamps, not the V&H ones that came with the pipes. I didn't even need to ask for this, he just did it. I'm sure they had many complaints at this dealership in the past about the V&H clamps as can be noted in these forums.
No leaks whatsoever on my pipes.
Check the forums as I've read others using anything from aluminum can shims to exhaust leak sealing compounds to fix their leaks. I haven't heard of any fit issues per your question.

FYI, new thread created specifically for posting exhaust video/sound files. Three different exhaust/bike systems posted as of today but hopefully more will post their own systems as time goes on.
