WOW, Lots of damage, not a good way to start or end a trip

 

I've seen several vids of the '09 Sturgis hail storm. This one showed
more of how bad the damage was. Wow!

We were staying in Hill City mid July 2007 when this storm hit.
Here's the newspaper report. They had to plow the streets.
We were in Custer at the time of the storm. We rolled into town about two hours after the storm. there was still hailstones as large as golf ***** laying around.

I was at the Full Trottle when this storm hit. My bike had about $4000.00 in damage. I only had 3400 miles on the bike at the time. Insurance covered everythng except the $250.00 deductable. I had a pair of riding glasses in the windshield leather pouch. The hail force was so strong it even broke the glasses.
I am hoping to never see that severe of a hail storm again!
