So much for supporting American Made
I hope every one at Harley Reads this. You (the motor company) have got to be kidding me with this. You are realy going to keep MV Augusta and Drop Buell. Agusta can't and never will compete with its main rival ducati. Buell on the other hand recently decided to embrace the ducati way and join forces with Rotax engines for the 1125r bikes. Besides losing stocks and sales the hd company better do something because this to me, my friend, is a slap in the face by an american blue collared, based and founded company that obviously has lost its way in corporate america because of wanting to keep the big bank accounts living "high on the Hog". You, Erik Buell, ought to be outraged by the MV purchase because that is clearly why Buell is being shut down. Too support the foreign market. Next you should build an even better bike based on the 100" freedom vtwin from the other "New American Motorcycle" VICTORY.
Thanks and I don't care if this pisses anyone off.

Sounds like he's the kind of guy that can keep the company going. I won't be surprised to see it resurface either as an independent or as part of another brand. Heck, makes me want to go out and buy one!! I've always heard the frame and suspension are super and now it sounds like they have the engine to make it a world class bike.

Just read the Harley business report on their website of course, and they are trying to sell off MV Agusta which in my opinion should have never been bought in the first place since it was already millions of dollars in debt to start. And they also reported a 21.5% decrease in national sales and an overall decrease of 84% of sales since last years third quarter. Looks like HD needs to take a week and start searching the internet and paying attention to what the hell the rest of the motorcycle world is building. My first thought is Why don't the check out the LIMP NICKIE LOT AT DAYTONA OR STURGIS since that IS the next generation of buyers and clientale. Its a damn shame that a person has to spend on average 16000$ for a softail and then another 10000$ to make it look like it should have from the factory.
Look for my next thread in the General discussion thread. It will be a good one.
