Rttw uk 2009
RTTW is an annual event where British motorcyclists pay their respects to members of the Armed Forces and raise money for the upkeep of the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas in Staffordshire. This is its second year.
The stone monument at the center of the Arbouretum features the names of more than 16,000 service men and women killed on duty or by terrorist action since the end of the Second World War engraved around its walls.
The saddest part, for me is the blank wall, waiting to be filled. More names are added weekly as our brave men and women die fighting for freedom in Afghanistan. May they Rest In Peace.
Here are some photographs from the run which took 1 1/2 hours to pass this point. I'm in one of the last pictures. More than 6000 bikes took part.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them
Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them
