I use to split lanes but after seeing (servile times) that other motorcycle in front of me hit the driver side door of a car changing lanes at the last minute. Now I just take a back road or kick back in the traffic.

I find it funny that CA is the only state that allows this... Must be emmission related!

Could be the reason. It gets you there quicker and off the road, so you're not sitting in traffic spewing emissions.

+1 on FLSTF That would would great here in Texas...the video shows the first few seconds that would anyway...right up until the bikes get to where the cars are. The chat section has had a good bit of discussion on the subject of lane splitting and we have all been lectured on how great it is by the guys from ....where was that now ??? oh yeah California. If they make it legal here that won't necessarily make it sane and I would let others test the theory for a few years.

Afraid my tank would have two permanent indentations and the saddle would have permanent pucker track....
