This is how it's done in California

Just a matter of time. We had a guy here in town that was famous for lane splitting and traffic in the Muscatine / Quad Cities area isn't that bad to begin with. Long story short, the guy had a Hayabusa and wound up hitting a car broad side with his girlfriend on back. They were both killed instantly along with the driver of the car (since they hit the driver's door). She wound up in the back seat of the car without any legs and he was in worse shape. It's your life....drive accordingly.

If I couldn't split lanes I wouldn't have 27,000 miles on my 07. If I'm going to be stuck in LA traffic I'll take air conditioning, nice plush seats, stereo, blue tooth.... cage.
When I was younger I worked as a motorcycle messenger in LA and I did 100 to 200 miles a day for at least three years. I guess I'm used to it.
Nowadays I actually enjoy my ride to work while everybody else is busy getting themselves in a tizzy over the traffic. I always wonder why more people don't ride bikes in LA.
Like someone posted before, try and keep it within 10 mph of traffic, keep the high beam on, and loud pipes help quite a bit.
......and ngoti8tor, F^&k off with your name calling.
