A Tremendous Display of Respect

That's a great tribute to one of our fallen heroes.
We had the honor of knowing Larry Parks Jr. who was killed in Sadr City, Iraq on June 18th, 2007. Larry was a close friend of our youngest daughter so his loss hit close to home. When they played taps at his funeral, everyone there had tears in their eyes. It was a very moving experience...

I was on vacation when the notice was put in the paper. I returned the night before the procession. I wish I had known about it as I live a mile from Falcon Field. This definitely restores my faith in the people in this area. I was good until I heard Taps. I never served, but I have the utmost respect for those who have AND do. God bless them all.

I 1st saw this last week; a friend sent it to me. It makes me angry that a lot of the left don't understand one important thing: It's okay to disagree about the war(s) and why we are in it but, these soldiers deserve everyone's utmost respect! They don't question, they just defend their country.

There were 3 KIA funerals in the Atlanta area that weekend. The Patriot Guard Riders were stretched thin attending all 3. I rode in from SC to pay honor & respect to Sgt Beale at his funeral the day after this video was shot.
The roadsides were jammed again with citizens waving flags, saluting, standing in silence with hands over hearts as we escorted Sgt Beale to his final resting place. Watching this video brought back all the emotions of the day. It is soooo hard to ride escort amongst so many bikes when tears blurr your vision. One scene that sticks in my mind from that day was as we passed a softball complex, the teams were ALL lined up along the road, down on one knee, hats off, being held over their hearts. They stopped in mid-game when they heard us coming, just to pay tribute to this fallen hero. The tears are flowing again just thinking about that moment in time.
You would be surprised how many times scenes like this are play out around the country every week. Patriotism is not dead in this country. God Bless Our Troops.
Thanks for posting.
