That was awesome Geoff, i was ten in 66 and my father took me on the back of various British tackle. Great times i wonder how many of those bikes are still about, would sure be worth a bob or two.
Thanks for posting.

I was also ten in 1966. I can remember three events from that year as if they were yesterday:

1) The Aberfan Disaster which still affects me very deeply now. I can still remember our Welsh headmaster calling the whole school back into assembly that dreadful morning and telling us what had happened with tears running down his face:

2) The trial of the moors murderers Ian Brady and Myra Hindley (may they rot in hell)

3) Oh yeah - and I nearly forgot this:

Some people are on the pitch ..... they think it's all over ...... it is now ................. it's four.

I can remember running outside into the street and running around like a mad thing after hearing those words. Half the people who lived in my street were leaping up and down in the middle of the road including my father who had rented our first TV in order to watch it. I was wearing nothing but an old string vest and a pair of Y-fronts at the time so I got a right bollocking off my mum.

... and that second Geof Hurst goal was definately in.

Enjoyed the film, perhaps could have used a bit of editing down, but enjoyed it anyway.

I was 8 in 1966. However, in addition to the three events mentioned above I also remember being at a friends birthday party when the footage of Donald Campbell crashing in Bluebird came on the news. Everyone just went silent in the room and stared in disbelief.
