First day on the job back in the mid-80s working at a metric shop the head sales guy let's me take a new Yamaha Venture Royale (dresser 1200) home for lunch. I'm jamming to the tunes when I pull into the gravel parking lot behind this old house that had been turned into apartments, where I lived. Still jamming, put the kick stand down but my foot brought it back up and of course I didn't hear it. Over the brand new bike went and landed on the engine guards in the gravel. Barely a scratch on the engine guards but I had to change pants before returning to work. [sm=yikesomg.gif]

 

I can honestly say I've never done that.I always look down to make sure the kickstand is down.

 

I hear about this but can't imagine it actually happening. I guess sooner or later I'll do it then I'll understand.
