i am definatley (sp?) a fool then. lane splitting/sharing is possibley one of the greatest perks about a motorcycle in traffic. i'm nota hundred percent about the legality but i've never been stopped for it. just stay within 10mph of surrounding traffic and i've found it to be cool have passed highway patrol on their bikes in traffic and never had a problem,

When I first started lane splitting it was more stressfull than scary. Now it is just a way to get from point "A" to "B" in bumper to bumper traffic. And yes it is illegal to lane split in ca. but not realy enforced,But.......... If you are in a accident while lane spliting your pretty much at fault no matter what.
