Default Rear brake failure fix?

My daughter just purchased a used 2020 street 750 with 3k miles on it. I was not aware that she was purchasing a bike until after the fact. Once I found out I researched the bike and seen a lot of posts complaining about the brakes. Today, she called to tell me that on her way to work, the rear brakes completely failed. She said the pedal went all the way down with no resistance. Upon leaving work, she said it was back to normal. From what I have read, the rear master cylinder is very close to the exhaust causing the fluid to heat up. Does anyone have a fix for this issue? Thanks

Id check into it at least........even though its not a model year 2020, maybe they are still having problems.....

Early 2015 model had rear brake reservoir down low next to CAT but later models relocated the reservoir up high so heat is not the issue.

Does her bike have ABS? If so that may be part of the issue. Brakes on my 2017 XG750A are phenomenal.

Check the brake fluid moisture content, if greater than 3% flush and replace with good fluid. May want to check the pads, and pistons to ensure they are not dragging and creating excess heat.
