I've been pulling trailers for several years, it's doable. I would be concerned about c02 for the dog.

I have no animals or wife.....thanks for the concern for the animals
I just need to be able to pack and bring extra stuff

IMHO…I wouldn’t put my dog in a trailer. I’d be concerned with the exhaust fumes, she’d be inhaling. Maybe a side car.

I'd venture a guess that most of the advice you'll garner here is from those who've got big touring scooters ... FWIW you can't beat a Bushtec for quality and reliability ( Do I sound like a commercial? ) Good Luck O.P.
