It's a Harley so the only limitations are imagination and money. LOL

I'm working on an "old school" rigid frame custom chopper build with my Street 750 and I have a lot of imagination but I'm limited to a $20,000 budget. We'll see how well that turns on in the months to come.

Took the Street out today for a 84 mile cruise since the temperature was up to 28 degrees. I am a committed winter rider.

The bike has a firm ride which I prefer. Tracking was superb.

Some have said the brakes were weak which is not what I found. The pedal is just not located higher than the pedal as is on most bikes. It is on the same plane as the peg. So the weight of the leg and foot is not on it. The foot must be rotated down while resting on the peg. That is the way Eric Buell had it on his XB bikes. So the foot must press harder to make up for the weight of gravity with the riders leg resting on it. The advantage is it is much easier to modulate the pressure on the pedal to avoid locking the rear up.

The engine power is obvious even with light twisting of the throttle. Six speeds seems like overkill but at least I will find 6th when I shift to it. That is unlike my Vrod and XR that I frequently try to shift to 6th and there is none.

The bike reminds me of my favorite bike ever the 69 Norton fast back Commando. Even has the same storage space behind the seat.

Negatives: No tach in the display like all other 13 and up HD's. No self canceling turn signals. First bike ever that I could not get into neutral while running. I tried time and again at various stops. It just would not do it.

This bike is destined to be a great flat tacker.

I'm 6''3" and 200 lbs. The bike was very comfortable. Best ever for a stock seat. I will ride it to Sturgis next year. No need for luggage as I have a huge camping/hiking back pack that will carry all that I need.

I'm only 74 so I probably don't fit the demographics that HD was targeting the bike for. But with 58 years of riding and about 50 bikes in my lifetime, I know a good bike when I see one. Well as long as I have my glasses with me!

If the Street 750 engine is destined to flat track, it could also power an ADVenture bike, similar to BMWs F700 and F800 GSs, with some good basic detachable "bags" like those bikes have. The European ADV bikes are hi-tech and expensive, and I think the MoCo could under cut them and compete with the Japanese bikes. A 750 street tracker would be cool too.

That was something I hadn't considered as a real possibility although a pure race engine could certainly be developed from the Street 750 engine and would qualify for AMA Pro Flat Track racing (750cc max displacement for a "racing only" engine).

Looks like the Aussies agree on the flat tracker version. This has got to be the coolest street 750 yet.

Here's the link for your enjoyment.

Very interesting. I wonder what mono-shock they're using(?) as I've been exploring a faux rigid swingarm with a mono-shock albeit I'd put it at the bottom under the frame.

It's also interesting because Australia will only be getting the Street 500 for sale at their dealers. Probably something to do with their import restrictions on motorcycles. Of course I also assume a 750 can be purchased from the US and imported to Australia by a person.

You, sir, are among my heros. You obviously have a bit of cash to throw around, based on your collection, yet you choose to ride what most people would consider a beginner bike, when most people your age are probably cruising to Sturgis in RVs, if they're going at all.

They must have one of these laying around for inspiration:
