Another trailer/ behind bike, question
Has anyone bought one of these Aluminum diamond plate trailers off of EBay ??? I know many would never pull a trailer behind their bike and others will say only go with Bushtec. But here my thing. I have own many motorcycle pull behind trailer from cheap models all the way up to a fully loaded 6K Bushtec. All had good and bad points. Next year I am planning a 5K mile ride over 3 weeks, the wife is going to fly out and meet me half way and we will need summer and winter clothes during the trip so a trailer is the way to go for us.
As I don't plan on making a lot of trips after this/ I don't want to drop big money on a trailer that would sit in the garage for years before I sell it at a lost. I like the write up about having 12 inch wheels and using a standard hitch rather then a special more money one. Also not being painted, I can use it on any bike and resell it to more buyers. Thanks in advance for any thoughts

You could always build your own. I built mine for about 800 dollars. All you need is a harbor freight trailer and a couple of 4 foot tractor supply truck tool boxes. The tool boxes allow you to lock everything up and their waterproof too. I narrowed the trailer and used the 60 inch tool box but if you don't have a welder it can still be done with nuts and bolts.

I'm in it for about $500, plus about $200 for the bike hitch and wiring.

If I didn't already have a few trailers I'd probably just buy one of these

They already start off narrower, and aren't much more than putting one together yourself. Not sure what the max towing speed of 55mph is other than a disclaimer

On a recent return trip from a rally I stopped to chat with a guy pulling an Aspen camper behind his ElectraGlide. One of the items I asked him about was low-cost trailers. We obviously spoke about the Harbor Freight (HF) trailer, but he wasn't a fan of it. He told me a buddy of his has the PiggyBacker and is very happy with it and he would recommend that for a low cost option.
