If they void your warranty they will have to refund your money. I don't think they will want to do that!! .

 

Just another he said she said, but we left home in June with a 13 trike with trailer in tow with 400 miles on it. Reverse quit in Kansas. Got to HD dealer in Rapid City to have the first maint done with 2k on the clock. I asked about the trailer hitch before I gave them the bike. The service manager there said he didn't care what was on the bike. He said that technically any mod could void the warranty and if anyone at another shop said anything that I should do business somewhere else. How many bikes have ya'll seen on dealers floors with different air filters wheels and non Harley exhaust and technically an already a voided warranty before it ever left the shop the first time?

 

I watched a tech from Milwaukee take down the VIN of a bike he saw with a hitch.
He told me that any Harley he sees at a dealership, that's what he will record.

I'm long out of warranty ('07 Ultra) but thought about getting Harley ESP from the dealership, now that they are offering it.
I have a hitch (no trailer or wiring) on the bike. I just wanted it for a flag mount during PGR missions.
Never been used.
I was told, NO Harley ESP if the bike had a hitch.
Bummer!
While talking to another rider, he got ESP from his credit union and it didn't matter if the bike had a hitch.
I checked with the CU and asked about a hitch.
She called the company on the speaker and the answer was a hitch was OK.
I have ESP now for 1/2 the price of Harleys ESP.
Covers everything the Harley ESP covers.

there is an issue with Harley warranty all the way across the board I am having an enhancement package done to my 103........ less that 5000 miles on it not even a year old and when the not so name brand mechanic started the tear down he noticed the cylinders where out of round and out of spec, the tappets where discolored and you could see oil blow by, so I called Harley and they sad to bad to bad it isn't at our shop you could have found bad parts somewhere and are trying to pull one over on us, keep in mind this guy does work for Harley but not good enough to do warranty work not really happy or impressed with the number one bike manufacter

 

I'm assuming the "enhancement" work isn't at a Harley dealership?
