Default Trike -Frankenstein or Street Glide

As an above knee left leg amputee, I have been looking into riding again. Very interested in the Street Glide Trikes ($$$) but now also looking into a Frankenstein conversion as there are a few shops here in Central FL that do these. Going this route, I can choose any model and I figure a new bike with the Frankenstein will still be way south of the near $30,000 of a new Street Glide Trike. Either one will require a Pingel or Klicktronic electric shifter for me.

So, a question to fellow members - Has there been any dependablitiy issues with a Frankenstein Trike?

Thanks for any info.

I have never seen any negative comments about the Frankenstein conversion only positive comments.

The only thing that would possibly concern me would be long road trips and the ability to get the Frankenstein serviced in an emergency situation. Also, what bike would you have converted? I see many of them have absolutely no storage either.
