Aleda TX, hummm. Nice ride from here, about 4 hrs. Nice country up there. We will be passing by you Memorial week on our way to Colorodo.
Good choice to get the trees, let us know how they work for you. I dont think they will help much on that bumpy road tho, after all you are still on a sportster suspension.

The wife got the fenders painted this week, and got them put back on. The trees are coming.
We were out riding around and couldn't believe how many people don't know about conversion kits on the market. I've even been told that some of the conversion makers will not sell to the general public, only to dealers who will install them. When I said I installed it myself, the people thought I was some kind of mechanical genius. Guess we might as well resign ourselves to a Q&A session every time we stop somewhere.

Ordered the trees on the 11th and they were on my porch yesterday the 13th. Frankenstein doesn't mess around. I ordered the machine finish, saved $50, and the wife worked about two hours with some chrome polish had polished trees. Don't know if I'll get them on this weekend.

It sure is nice to read this kind of report. I can see the day coming I'd like to convert my FLTC.

I'm going to miss my saddlebags though if I convert with a Stein system.

Keep us informed on how the steering change over goes, and how it works out.

Default This project is finished!

Put the trees on today. Took about 2 hrs. MAN! WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Even on our bumpy roads it handles great. Only the worst bumps cause you to manhandle it. On the highway at 75 the front end feels a little light, but the wife will get used to it. Visually, you can't tell the difference unless you know what to look for. Thanks to everyone for the input.
