I just got my 1K oil change and got HD Synthetic oil put in. They say synthetic is best oil for my trike.
I should be able to go 5K before my next oil change but my maintenance says every 2500 miles. That gets real expensive at $10 a qt!
What are you guys doin as far as oil change intervals?

Every 5,000 is plenty any sooner is just wasting perfectly good synthetic oil. The 2,500 guideline is from the old days. I change my engine oil at 5,000 miles, my primary which I'm using Formula+ in @ 10,000 miles and the transmission which I'm running Redline Shock proof heavy @ 20,000 miles. All of these are at the stated mileage or once per year.
