Default Zerk fitting on rear

Anybody notice the zerk fitting inthe rear axle differental by the rear sprocket? I was under mine today adjusting my axle and saw it. I couldn't get to at the time as my bike was on ramps and I needed to rotate the wheels to get it around to the bottom.

Interesting, didn't know that existed. I'm going to look at the service manual again when I get some free time. It will be interesting to see how often they recommend it to be greased and by which grease.
