Hi Guy's,

Got the UltraCool unit installed yesterday by my dealer. Sadly, I do not have the resources or location to do on my own.

The dealer rode for about 30 minutes and said it did not go over 180 degrees. When I rode a small bit yesterday I did get it up to about 190 degrees. But, today was the real test. Just finished sitting in the wonderful LA traffic for almost two hours (Avg 75 degrees outside). The oil temp did not go over 230 degrees. This is a 15 degree drop from my last test justing changing to the Redline 20-60, which maxed at 145 degrees in 68 degree weather.

It dos appear that the UltraColl unit has done what I expected and bit better. I figured 10 degrees would be acceptable.

I will try and take some photos this week before I travel on business. When I picked my bike up, the service folks were gone so I did not get to ask if they had any difficulties. Appears not! Did provide a T connector for the oil temp gauge I put in the fairing. So we did not have to bore another whole!

Looks good and sits low. Vegas in few couple of weeks will be the real test!

By the way, on my way home today as traffic finally opened up my damn AC cover fell off at 70 MPH. Luckily my leg saved it and I was able to hold it with my thigh until I pulled over. First I'm thinking the screw loosened and fell out. To my surprise it was actually the small round threaded plate that holds the AC cover screw on the K&N had actually broken off. Anyone had this experience? The K&N is only one week old! (Stage 1 system)

Default Double Fan

I used epoxy to tie the two fans together in the kit and some stainless clips. I cut a piece of 1/4" plate with original bolt holes for the Harley cooler mount and then drilled holes for the Jagg mount. I cut it large enough to extend out beyond original position and cut two 2" spacers from 1/2" PVC pipe to raise the cooler up out of the line of fire. Will try to download a pic!

1/4 " plate drilled to fit Tri cooler mount and the Jagg 10 Mounting Bracket
2- 2" spacers
3 original Harley oil cooler mount bolts
2 long bolts to go through the plate/spacer/Jagg Bracket

I rode Sunday and it was around 72 Deg., went into town traffic and the oil temp never got over 230 deg. with the Oil Temp Fan and the Lanale Head fan on. I am using Amsoil and the Cat has been removed, XIED's in lieu of a tune and SE-4" slipons.

I put my ambient back in and am running an 2-5/8" oil temp gauge in a summit cup mounted on the left side crash bar. The ambient went from 80 to 70 degrees when I turned on the fans. Not a realistic test, won't be able to do a real world test until July or August on a 90 degree day!

I am getting some good numbers now and feel the combination of mods have had a positive effect on cooling the Tri down! I will put the fuel moto pipes on this fall and go with the PC-5. The XIED's have darkened the plugs and I am not getting the milage I was before. I am going to go with a K&N replacement filter and watch the plugs and temp changes, I believe I am rich am getting rich enough AFR to do so. The bike runs and idles out great with the XIED's and the ECM has adjusted to them.

Low light conditions, sorry about pic quality!

All that is really nice and shinny black!
