Tank Shift & Foot Clutch
You may have posted and I missed it but I would like to see a close up of that set up!

I fabricated the whole set up. I have limited use of my left hand and arm, from a fall from a warehouse roof to the sidewalk, so I cant use a hand clutch. I used the stock clutch cable routed under motor up to a bracket by the stock shifter. Hooked cable to foot shifter- now a foot clutch. Used a police shifter for a panhead with 5 gallon tank. (Got it from J&P Cycles) it is maid to mount to down tube- but I fabbed a bracket to move it back toward me a little. You can see it in the pic. If you want I will take a close up and give a better discription.

That is one of the things my dad and I keep tossing around. We have a Direct-Lift which is rated at 1,000. The Handy they have at the dealer is rated at 1,500 and like Shovelhead Bob said has the trike wing kit on it.

I made my own extensions out of 3/4" plywood stiffened with a 2x8. For the rear cross support I used a piece of 1" pipe w/solid 3/4" round stock inside of it. for the front I just used a piece of conduit since it doesn't really have to support any weight. All of the weight is carried by the rear support.

If you have the ceiling height in your garage, I would suggest that you consider a car lift and modify it to accommodate the trike. There seems to be a price war on in the car lift industry right now and prices have fallen by over 50%. I suspect that you can pick up a car lift now for slightly more than what a MC table lift cost!
The advantage of a car lift are several fold:
1) It is multi-functional, you can use it for your 4 wheel or 3 wheel vehicles!
2) You can adjust the height to any level you wish and work on the trike without bending over!
3.) With the exception of the front wheel, the entire bottom of the trike is open and accessible, unlike a table lift!
4) Mine is weight rated at 7,000 lbs. and has casters to move it around the garage if necessary!
5) You can double deck and stack two vehicles on top of each other!

My lift is only rated @ 1000 lb. but it doesn't have any problem lifting the trike.
